Terms & Conditions
Welcome to ClickTheWheel. These Terms & Conditions explain how you may use our wheel spinner and random picker, what you can expect from the service, and how we handle shared rooms.
Last updated: 1/2/2026
1) Who we are (and who we are not)
ClickTheWheel is an independent web app for spinning a wheel and selecting a random result. We built ClickTheWheel with our own design, features, and user experience.
2) Acceptance of these terms
By using ClickTheWheel, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3) Using ClickTheWheel
ClickTheWheel is intended for legitimate, friendly use: making decisions, running classroom activities, selecting giveaway winners, brainstorming, icebreakers, team selection, and similar use cases.
- Be respectful: do not add hateful, harassing, or illegal content to entries.
- Don’t abuse the service: do not attempt to disrupt the app, scrape it at scale, or overload the sharing system.
- Use sharing responsibly: shared rooms are for your participants. Avoid posting links publicly if you do not want strangers joining.
4) Entries, results, and fairness
ClickTheWheel is designed so each entry has an equal chance of being selected for a given spin (unless you intentionally change the entries between spins).
We do our best to provide a smooth, consistent experience across devices and browsers. However, you understand that software and networks can behave differently in different environments, and you should always verify the setup before a high-stakes use (e.g., a live stream giveaway or a classroom test).
5) Sharing rooms (host and guests)
ClickTheWheel supports real-time sharing through a room link. In shared sessions, there is a host and one or more guests.
- Host controls the session: depending on the entry mode, the host typically controls spinning and editing.
- Guests participate: guests may view the wheel and (in certain modes) contribute names/entries as designed.
- Room links: anyone with the link may be able to join. Treat the link like an invite.
Rooms may be removed when the host stops sharing, and inactive guests may be removed automatically. This helps keep sessions tidy and reduces “ghost” participants.
6) Privacy basics (plain-English)
ClickTheWheel is built to be lightweight and privacy-friendly. Many settings and wheel data are stored locally in your browser so you can return later without creating an account.
When you use sharing, the wheel state is synced so everyone in the room sees the same wheel. To do that, we store only the information needed to run the room (for example, entries and nicknames). Please avoid entering sensitive personal information.
7) Third‑party services
We may rely on third‑party infrastructure (for example, real‑time databases) to provide sharing. Those providers may process limited technical data required to deliver the service. We choose providers carefully and aim to keep the app simple.
7.1) Cloud infrastructure (AWS & Google Cloud)
ClickTheWheel is hosted using third‑party cloud infrastructure providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We rely on their security and resiliency features (for example, redundancy, monitoring, and access controls) as part of delivering a stable service.
7.2) Supabase
ClickTheWheel uses Supabase (supabase.com) for real-time synchronization when you share wheels. Supabase stores room data, user nicknames, and activity timestamps. Please review Supabase's privacy policy for details about their data handling.
7.3) Google AdSense
ClickTheWheel may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to ClickTheWheel and other sites. These ads help us keep ClickTheWheel free for all users.
Your choices: You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies by visiting Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Please review Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses data for information about how Google handles your data when you visit sites that use AdSense.
8) Disclaimers
ClickTheWheel is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that the service will be error‑free. For important events, please test your setup in advance.
9) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClickTheWheel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. In all cases, our liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the service (which is typically $0).
10) Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect new features, legal requirements, or security improvements. When we update them, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
